Epithets is a new mechanic based on your actions during each Era. During any given Era, certain actions will accumulate Epithet Progress. On entering a new Era, if you have enough Epithet Progress, your people will recognise you with an Epithet - a special title and a one-time reward based on your dominant actions during the last Era.
Great Works of Film are a new type of Great Work for the late game, functioning like the earlier Great Works of Music. Great Works of Films come from Great Directors, which in turn are generated by assigning Citizens as Directors at the Director's Guild.
Great Relics are a new type of Great Work that can be acquired by expending a Great Prophet once you have enhanced a Religion. They can only be slotted into the Great Relic Slots provided by the Monastery and Solomon's Temple World Wonder.
Great Revolutionaries are a new Great Person that can be used to choose an Ideology. They are granted for free to Civilizations that research certain late-game Technologies before any others - the specific Techs are random each game.
Nationalism is a new yield that can be expended to duplicate Social Policies that you have already adopted. Nationalism is generated from your Culture Per Turn; the amount of Culture Per Turn contributing to Nationalism instead of Culture determined by you.
Prisoners of War is a new mechanic resulting from your combat victories. Successfully defeating an enemy unit now has a chance to leave you with prisoners of war, whom must be dealt with through one of several actions, each rewarding a different Yield.
Spirit is a new Ideology. It can only be chosen after you have already adopted one of the three main Ideologies. With Spirit, you are able to retain any Ideological Tenets you had previously taken whilst also unlocking a set of new Ideological Tenets. The more Tenets you have from your previous Ideology, however, the less space you have for Spirit-based Tenets.
Workerforces changes how Workers build Improvements. Improvements are now built instantly, consuming 'Charges' in the process until they have none left, at which point they are expended.
